Probably a strange question for here but hopefully someone might be able to help.

We have a mobility vehicle for our 5 year old son who has Cerebral Palsy. We were looking to go a holiday in this country in the summer but because of all the specialist equipment and stuff he has there is no way it would all fit in the car along with luggage and 2 other kids.

Does anyone on here know of any charity which could help by providing a vehicle for a few days or is that something that is not available?

Any help would really be appreciated.

        Hello Jim

In the short term, have you thought about using a trailer for your sons specialist equipment and stuff? I know it’s not idea, but if all other avenues fail, It is an option.

If you son needs so much special equipment, why did you not opt for a WAV (wheel chair accessible vehicle) Maybe that is something you should think about when you next renew.

Does your son have a social worker? if so you could approach them for help?

Motability charity may also be an option. However. They are very limited in what they help with.

        Stopped Allowance Support Programme
        Transitional Support Package
        Additional Transitional Support Grant Programme
        Access to Work Grant Programme

I will do some more digging to see what I can find to help you.
