Kia Niro delays?

I’m a long time lurker, first time posting!

I’m fully aware of there being delays right now. My car was ordered in September and at the time I was told the Niro 2 hybrid would be delivered end of November.  Having got an update recently I’ve now been told Jan/Feb time. I was wondering if anyone has ordered a Niro 2 hybrid from around the same time as me has collected it? Or did it take 5/6 months to collect it? It feels like delays have finally hit KIA or I’m very unlucky! The KIA I ordered from is in London. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Right now a global computer chip shortage is causing delays of up to six months on the delivery of Kia’s new cars. There’s also a shortage of nearly-new cars because of low sales in 2020 and more buyers opting for a secondhand model instead of waiting for a new one.

Carwow is and has indicated a 6 month build time for the Nero, in all forms.

I got an update a week or so after posting this. The car has been physically built. They’re expecting it to be ready for collection at the end of January. I’ll keep everything crossed it does. I’m very aware of the semiconductor shortage at the moment. I was asking as I’ve seen elsewhere people ordering and collecting Niros much quicker than me and ordering the car later than I did. I was curious if I just had unlucky timing.
