IONIQ 5 – Bluelink issues and Hyundai Digital Key

Got my MY25 RWD car with tech pack over the weekend and absolutely love everything about it.

Couple of questions I have and hope others could help

      1. Bluelink remote functions dont work. Only thing on the app that works is map(location where it is parked) and vehicle report. Done the obvious ones (reset app and relink car, reset infotainment etc) but not much luck.

      2. HDA -> When driving in motorway and if there are temporary speed limit changes (e.g., due to roadworks), does it automatically adjust to the new limit (reading from temporary signs on road) ?

      3. Anyone tried setting up Hyundai Digital key? Is it available for MY25 or only for IONIQ 5N ?https://www.hyundai.com/eu/driving-hyundai/owning-a-hyundai/bluelink-connectivity/digital-key.html

      Thanks in advance.

I have a previous MY, which is pre-facelift and might make a huge difference in how things work.

The bluelink is faultless with my car.  If all you get is location, it makes me wonder if there is a suitable connection with the car.  I’d definitely be talking with your dealership about this, it may be something they can sort quickly.

My car recognises speed limit changes and will adjust the ACC or HDA accordingly if you trigger the change.  All I have to do is flick the switch down or up (new speed lower or higher) and it’ll change.  The switch is, on mine, on the right side of the steering wheel and is the little toggle switch you can adjust speeds with below the ACC On/Off button.

I know my model doesn’t recognise the digital key, I haven’t heard anything about it from the various groups, so can only assume either it works for everyone else or it isn’t a feature. Try the advise given here:  https://www.speakev.com/threads/anyone-got-digital-keys-working-in-the-uk-my25-ioniq-5.186994/   Although the thread does suggest that even on the Kona which definitely has this, it’s simply not working.

Enjoy the car, it’s a great thing to drive and that rear wiper will be a real benefit over the old models

Thanks Mark. When I took the vehicle they said maybe there is a network issue, looks like it is not the case. I have also emailed bluelink europe email. Hope that works, if not will go to dealer as advised.

I didnt know that I had to flick the speed change switch. Thought it was automatic. Will pay attention next time and hope it works!
