I’m about to start my first lease on the 8th Of October and I’ve just checked the insurance document on the online section of the motability website and it says my driver was born in 2016… making them a 4 year old …. I mean yes the car is suitable for under 25s, but toddlers is pushing it! Haha. I don’t know if this will cause any problems and I don’t know how / why this was approved And put onto the system. Going to call dealer tomorrow but has this happened to anyone else? It just says a random Date in  2016 under the “date of birth” section on the RSA insurance doc

Hi Sam,

I’d probably give RSAM a call and point it out. I’ve not had anything like that personally, but if it was your insurance for a private car, you would want it correct to prevent any voiding of your insurance cover. If you ring. Motability Customer Service number, one of the options at the beginning is to speak to the insurance people.

I’m having a guess here but wonder if 2016 is the date your driver passed his or her driving test.
