I have some good news to share, I haven’t seen any topics on this before.
If you are a renewing customer you can order a new car with less than 12 months remaining. This policy was changed on 02/10/23. I can’t see anything on the website but someone told me they heard on facebook group. I rang Motability and they confirmed this.
If you order by end of this year you get a new car payment £750 which can be put towards the advance payment. Also your lease will automatically be renewed when you ordered new car.
I don’t know if its the same with the grants teams as I need to call them tomorrow as they closed at the moment. Grants team said you need 12 months remaining to apply for grants but that was last month before this change in policy. I will update this after I spoke to grants team.
Hopefully this will ease the anxiety for a few people. I was having anxiety as I thought I would be left without a car as my PIP not renewed yet. I have still not received my PIP renewal form 2 months after they said they sent it. Called them multiple times to tell them I’ve not received the form etc. Had a text from PIP saying they will continue paying my PIP until they review it.

Just phoned motability they confirmed I will get £750 off advance payment he bought all my details up ! So top of range Toyota Yaris excel £795 advance payment I pay £45 great news having 2 hour test drive Friday
Just logged into my account online and it still says i cannot order B4 Nov the 8th which is the usual 3 months before end of contract.

Sorry for sounding stupid but is that less than 12months of PIP or lease ?
I ordered a QQ back in January 2023 and still waiting. with no clear delivery date, I am tempted to cancel and order something else but I have less than 12 months PIP left and the review won’t be until sometime next year!
UPDATE:
I applied for the grant and I got it so I didn’t need 12 month + remaining on my PIP award for the grant either.
Ive just gotta sort out the adaptations now then will order my new car.

Its less than 12 months remaining on PIP award. I would ring up Motability and ask them if you can cancel and make a new order because of delay. PIP review have a huge backlog.

Yes you can’t order until 3 month before the end of your original lease. But i am in my lease extension so can order any time.
The online account still says you need 12 months remaining on the award but thats not the case. they havent updated anything
