Several Ford dealerships are now posting that Ford has posted a warning that orders will be accepted until Aug 31st as both of these EVs will be withdrawn from the scheme until the backlog has been fulfilled.  Expect their return to be at higher APs.

Let’s hope the likes of IM5 and IM6 will be joining the scheme in the meanwhile,  so the likes of Ford will have no incentive to increase the price.

it looks like they have already been taken off the ford website on motability promotions even though the promotions are just the prices on the motability website.  sad news that they are going but given how far ford are from the EV targets i am sure they will be back and i dont think the prices will go up again as they just wont sell at the extortionate prices they started at.  i expect that theyll do what nissan have done and bring the style rrp down to £37k to fall into the £1500 off on their range of RWD cars for explorer, Capri might be a bit of a stretch but who knows.

Hopefully it’s just for the 75 plate rush and they’ll be back by Dec!

I’m guessing it should have been the IM5 & 6 which should be with dealers this month.  My local is stating the 10th for them to arrive.

                    cheers Mark.

Both look decent from where I’m standing, though I given the pricing, there not bargain basement MG money, so cheap AP’s probably not.

They have been branded to be separate from the MG budget branding and are purporting to be a more luxurious version that will challenge the likes of the business friendly Tesla Models 3 and Y.

Im looking forward to getting to wonder around them and seeing if they’re as good in person as they look on YouTube.  The external looks rather drab, literally Tesla replicas with minor differences (what’s worse is they’ve copied old models😂) internally, however, there’s the on dash screen running the same as the Ioniqs but they’re for information and entertainment only, there’s another screen for just about everything else that’s built into the centre console.

Apologies.  Indeed I was referring to MG IM5 and MG IM6.

A big suv passed me today and didnt know what it was until I saw the badge on the back,

It was a Jaecoo 7. It did look impressive in black.

After having EVs since 65 reg and as I do not require 7 seater anymore,  but a big boot only, I can’t look over non EVs. The EVs are quiet, accelerating like mad and for me, as I have a wall charger,  it costs nothing to charge.

I appreciate some still may have range anxiety,  but mine was always about the charging price,  not the range: at the beginning it was all free and now one should have thousands of apps installed or to be mad and pay £0.83 per kW.
