Had a sore eye monday so thought nothing of it and put drops in. Next day thought I had goo on my eye next to my tear duct turns out it’s some kind of blister on my eyeball.
Called gp, oh no we can’t deal with that call this 0330 number. Call that “you are number 9 in the queue”
Gave up, went to minor injury unit 10 miles away, got told off by nurse as a minor injury is a tiddler poking you in the eye. I said well if you’re bring like that it’s not an accident or emergency either is it?
Senior nurse diagnosed it as Chemosis and it’ll go away on its own but may take weeks or months. Gonna call that number again for second opinion I means it’s your eyes you don’t muck about…
Right cheesed off with everyone talk about buck passing and crap advice all round. That number is based in Leeds and I’m in Norfolk so no wonder it’s busy if they’re directing so many at it.
In the meantime it’s not affecting vision so it’s not reportable etc but its flipping uncomfortable on every blink or if I look left so the blister hits my eye socket.
