Has anyone got any experience of the EPB on the manual petrol sportage. Does the EPB automatically engage when switching off ignition.

Auto Hold – don’t quote me but I’m 99% sure once activated it stays activated untill you switch it off regardless of switching off the ignition.

When the ign is then switched off the EPB is automatically applied and auto hold is active when driving.

The Tuscon works quite the opposite and you have to remember to activate auto hold every time you get in, hence why I always wanted the Sportage to join the scheme at the time!

my hyundai works like that. parking brake goes on after ignition is switched off, and yes auto hold needs selecting on switch on. parking brake stays on until you touch accelerator too.

When Auto Hold is on the EPB automatically on when ign off.
