ok now ive had some pretty responsible jobs over the years and i dont think anyone who knew me in those jobs would call me indecisive so what is it about lease renewal time that turns me into a ditherer incapable of making a final decision about something that should be relatively straightforward.

i mean it should be easy, is it automatic can i get in and out comfortably is it a comfortable drive. whats hard about that????

this time alone i have been to 8 dealerships sat in a dozen or more cars and the best i can do is cut it down to 6.

last week i had convinced myself the sensible me should discount the ateca,cx5,quahqai and the karoq as simply being much bigger than i need and they are all about the same mpg as my current countryman.

leaving the mokka either petrol or electric same price or the juke hybrid 50+mpg…but £200 more.

but then i thought extend for 2 years save the refunded difference between wpms and pip and hope something pops up along the way.

does anyone else end up going in circles lol?

ok test drove the nissan juke hybrid n-connecta £823 on wpms and the quashqai epower nconnecta £1546 on wpms today and the are both excellant.

decided not to go for the heat comfort pack as the only thing i would use is the heated screen so not really worth the extra £295.

either i would have in burgundy so its a straight decision as to wether i want the extra room/size the only advatage to the quashqai is you get 360degree camera rather than sensors and a rear view camera.

one other advantage they reckon the quashqai is coming through much quicker than the juke which is around 6 months whereas quashqai they got one the other day came through in 2 months.

but i think i will go for the juke its plenty big enough for me and £700 for a posher camera is a bit much.

so i will dig out the paperwork and order it next week theve said the are prepared to order early and input it on 8th dec which is the official order date. that way it should be here apr/may.

What did you think of the qashqui e power @mitch ? Thats the one I went look at when mentioned a week ago on here. For me I would need something bigger, where as the Juke is more than suitable. The qashqui is nearly double even with your wpms  and no doubt the money would be more benificial in your pocket and as you say its a bit big for your needs. Where as I have a small family and would need somethin that little bigger. Saddly I wanted leather seats in case my daughter had an accident but the tecna not on the scheme, so my search continues as hospital advised I need auto. Cetainly not an easy job looking for a suitable car is it!.

The Huke hybrid will probably serve you well and has the benifit of being a full hybrid especially during times of high fues costs, plus you get to pocket some cash and treat yourself. A nice garden bench maybe!

          Take care mitch 🙂

i liked it considering how much heavier and larger than the juke it is quite nippy and holds the road well, not too much roll which is good round here as its mostly twisty country roads although in places its 50 so you can have some fun.

i was impressed with both mpgwise as even in the short time i had them the trip computer was over 50mpg in both. the quashqais 360 camera and the reversing etc is brilliant. i liked the cabin and if the extra money was say half what it is i would be having the quashqai as all around it is just that step up from the juke a much better car.

even at £700 more i was tempted but the juke is the sensible alternative and the hybrid with the 1.6 and the electric is just that bit more fun than the basic petrol. and whats not to like when it does 10 mpg more at least than the countryman or even the petrol juke.

well the deed is done, a few weeks early but the dealership are ok with that and will input the order to motability on the 8th dec and the reckon 4-6 months is the usual lead time anyway.

so nissan juke hybrid n-connecta  ap £823 on wpms in burgundy is the final decision.

basically it was the most comfortable for getting in/out.

now watch something awesome will probaly come back or onto the scheme or somethings ap will halve just to p*ss me off lol.

                    Hi @Mitch!

I came across your post whilst trying to see if anybody else is looking at or has the Nissan Juke hybrid n-connecta.

I see you decided on the nissan juke 1.6 hybrid n-connecta? Have you got it yet? If so, how are you finding it for comfort? And parking without 360 camera?

If you don’t have it yet, how did you find it during the test drive please?

Basically I’m looking at getting that one, but I’ve only been able to test drive it in the Tekna trim, which has the leather seats & 360 camera. It was so unbelievably comfortable which was amazing for my bad back. & I could park well using the 360 camera.

I can only get the Juke hybrid in N-connecta, as its not available in the Tekna on Motability.

So I’m not sure if the n-connecta version is going to be as comfy with the slightly different seats. And im scared it’ll be hard to park without 360 camera.

Any advice or info about your experience with it would be very much appreciated!

                    Many thanks! ?

not got it yet, the cuurrent lease isnt up until 8th march.

but comfortwise the juke was the best tested and i have never had a 360 camera so ive not had problems parking. although i did test drive the qq nconnecta which has the camera and i thought it was brilliant.

the test drive was excellant the hybrid system looks very good and will suit my driving mostly shorter journies on   b roads the test drive was around chesterfields back streets and out into the near countryside rarely getting up to 50 and was very comfortable given the speed humps and potholes.

it was a close call i almost went for the qq epower but its just that bit too big for just me.

Unfortunately not as usually there’s like 2-4 cars that suit.

Tbh if our circumstances didn’t dictate what we could have I probably still wouldn’t be that bad I’d just go with some Mazda or other as they are the brand I’ve always had privately and have always been reliable.

I’ve got the opposite problem, I’m at the stage of talking myself out of changing cars!.

Not due until July but while the Ateca has a heated windscreen and seats, full view camera and remote boot it’s not been great, some poor mpg and as I’ve said before the 19″ tyres are pants, no grip in snow/frost/wet and or greasy roads. So I don’t drive it then.

I’ve had a good look round and narrowed it down to the 2023 Mazda CX-5 MHEV Exclusive Line with the drivers assistance pack, probably won’t get any better mpg so it’s not going to save me any money over the Ateca and of course there’s the £2499 AP, maybe it’ll come down when ordering time comes around!.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
