Dealer is having a laugh

      Earlier this week (Tuesday) my dealer called to let me know my car was there and when would I like to collect it 🤔  I jokingly said July in case the deposit goes down but I’d happily get it anytime as soon as the hand controls are fitted.

      The garage contacted the installer and they won’t be installed until next week at the earliest, so that’s us into July and the next quarter.

      Today they’ve sent me an email requesting payment of the deposit… they are definitely having a laugh if they think I’m gony send them nearly £3k today when the prices could drop on Monday 🤔 😂😂😂

      I know they probably won’t fall but I can live in hope over the weekend 🤞😁

        Usually you only get 1 cable, a 5m type 2.

        I’ve had both with my 3 previous EVs but I’ve heard conflicting reports lately. Some have said the dealers only supply the granny so you can at least charge anywhere, some say only the type 2, some saying it depends on what you have as a home charger… I’ll obviously ask the dealer but just curious what other got

              I’m Sure Hyundai provide both mate, a Type 2 and a ICCB charger with their EV’s

                Position is simple the AP when you order is the AP you pay.

                Those customers / dealers who circumnavigate that “contract/rule” are just unscrupulous.

                I would support a vision where you pay the lower AP  (if it has changed between order/collection)

                  @Volts you’ve confused me 🤯

                  Are you saying we’re all unscrupulous for wanting the lowest AP possible or are you supporting the fact we should pay the lower amount if it changes between ordering and collecting 🤔 🤷‍♂️

                    Thats strange Dave?

                    The I5, the V2l was stored next to the sub woofer, its in a black bag, I nearly missed it, until I pulled out the boot  floor.

                        Yeah seen that, shocking increase along with all the other increases getting discussed on other threads 😱

                        I phoned my salesman to get the AP sorted and that’s it all paid now 🥳

                        Crazy to think the Ioniq 6 came on the scheme at £7,999 so overall I’m happy that I only had to pay £1,999 today. The car was £3,499 when I ordered it last November, the dealer Evans Halshaw had an offer to match Motability with £750 off so a total of £1,500 saved.

                        It’ll probably be under £1k next year when they’re struggling to shift stock 🤔

                          @Rhodgie

                          According to Motabilitys own website the  AP is set upon you placing your order.

                          So anyone who currently tries to change the AP after their order break that “rule” and is unscrupulous.

                          Motabilty (not customers/dealers) could change the “rule” so we as customers pay the lower AP if is has indeed changed between ordering and collection

                            Then that would lead to no end of cancellations, ultimately leading to complaints from dealers and possibly manufacturers!

                            That said Motability is aware this goes on and does little to stop it, from what can be said as human nature.
