So, spoke to JCT600 this morning about the Tiguan, originally ordered in Feb at £1149AP but no delivery until August or probably Sept, then AP of £1749 from my local dealer who lied and told me they had one. Turns out what they should have done was have Motability transfer the original order instead of cancelling it off the system, now with no order the AP is £2,899!!. Motability won’t budge on this so goodbye Tiguan 🙁
Rang a few dealers looking for something I can fit into, either no stock or just not suitable. Rang Volvo this morning about an XC40, no problem at all, delivery end of October early November?? 🙁
Ended up back with a choice between the Seat Ateca or MG HS. I can get into the Ateca and it has a heated windscreen which I love 🙂 The diesel Xcellence Lux is no longer on the scheme so went for the 1.5 TSI petrol, manual gearbox at £1245. Dealer just rang and has put the application in to Motability so he reckons 2-3 weeks for collection.

I ordered a Tarraco 1.5 TSI DSG Xcellence Lux on Monday at £2299, glad I did as it went up to £3499 yesterday. £1200 for 2 days difference is crazy.

I hope so! I managed to persuade the insurance company to let me keep the loan car another week so that’s better than it going back tomorrow 🙂

@phaedra that brilliant you’ve had a right time of it, and i for one cant wait for Your post saying “picked up new car”. BUT:
and really sorry to add a BUT and i had debated not posting but felt you would prefer to know, hopefully the Dealer has allowed for it within their given timescale as it is still possible, but as you are a new to scheme order it would seem there has been a spike in New orders resulting in a statement from Motability.
“Due to high volumes of new to Scheme submissions, applications that require an allowance check are currently likely to be delayed by up to five working days.”
sorry! you can check progress on the application checker if that helps ease the blow.

All we can do is order what you can at the time you can and hopefully it’ll be sooner than you think it will be and you’ll be in it.
In your case it’s not been the best of situations or experience, having to wait until the 1st and is a shame you was messed about with the tig that was not available and lost out on the one that was ordered.
Truth is though the £600 would of been off Q3 prices as the order would not be placed until the 1st of july, considering the risesi don’t think jct would of footed the differnece.
Sometimes life throws curved balls and we just gotta make the best of it.. well done smart choice imo look forward to see the pics
Well it’s progressing!
Motability order checker says checks now complete so that was pretty quick, dealer only placed the order last Thursday afternoon!.
Loan car is being collected Thursday morning so will have to force myself out Tues or Weds to get some shopping in so we don’t starve waiting for the Ateca to arrive! 🙂
