Back from an 860 mile road trip in England, going to London, Paignton, Oxford then home.

Lovely smooth ride, overall cost around £120 in electric, got back home with just 9% left. Used Motability go card with gridserve, was simple and easy to use. BP pulse was a bit of a nightmare, they take £45 but you get back what you’ve not used, unfortunately had to swipe 3 times before it worked, which was 3 x £45! Did get it back within 3 days, but not what you want when on holiday.

Had auto eco air con on all the time and drove like any other car, within speed limits of course! Averaged around 4 kWh so very pleased with consumption.

Imho if you can have a home charger an ev is a no brainer in running costs, comfort and nippyness.

Hi @Vinnie so glad you are still loving your BZ4X we are too and on a side note I love it isn’t the best EV on the scheme I love an under dog and I bet its the comfiest. Anyway my question is how does the satnav handle route planning with regards to charger stops and how lomg to charge for. Thanks in advance for any reply

Hi @John Newton, the sat nav was good, told us that we needed to stop and would programme one in, I stipulated Gridserve and it told me where they were on route and set which one I wanted, it was easy. Found sat nav good except where our son lived in London, wanted us to go right but the map must be old as it was a no entry, so we had to skirt round it, but it soon found a way for us, informs when roadworks is up ahead and if there are any queues, we were impressed.
Not good at navigation even with a map, brain injury, and we did a few wrong turns too, but again she soon sorted it out and got us back on track.

              Hi

Thanks for your update on this.

We have had our Vision AWD (pan roof) for 7 weeks now – done 1300 miles – very comfy car and not getting any of the range-anxiety feeling which we had pre-order but haven’t gone for any long drives where we need to stop.

We charge the battery at home when it gets to 40-50 per cent which is after 2-3 days overnight with Octopus Intelligent Go and so far doing 3.1 miles/kWh

If you have a charger at home then it’s worth having an EV – last full month EV cost £30 compared to £200 avg per month if we still had the 2019 Rav4 hybrid.
