Boring colours

Why are the vast majority of cars only available in the usual drab and boring colours?

I can’t be the only one who likes unusual or bright colours, I wish the ST estate would come back on I had that in Tangerine ? Scream now that was a good colour ??

Currently got an X1 in Sunset orange and struggling to find anything out of the ordinary on the scheme, any ideas maybe a Q3 in pulse orange?

We also had this monster at one point and yes I used to be able to get into it and drive it although it was fun it was thirsty until we changed it to lpg then it wasn’t too bad.

                A3 colour

Looks cracking in this colour, to me anyway. A3 Saloon Edition 1 in “python yellow”.

Just don’t go speeding in a bright yellow car…

Think I can help you out there Tharg.

Corsair 2000E in Blue Mink (my dad had a lesser 1700 V4 model in the same colour without the vinyl roof

Next I think is a Vauxhall Magnum, a posh Viva with a choice of 1800 and 2300 engines. Anyone remember the Firenza coupé?

The after the Morris Traveller is a cut up Range Rover converted into a cabriolet!

                      Love classic cars.

Oops just zoomed in on the Vauxhall and it’s not a Magnum, it’s a Viva which has been fitted with a Magnum grille and 4 headlights.

Thanks, Mr Dudes. Hadn’t seen the snaps, my post seemed to have missed them. Wonder what engine the Half-Timbered Mowog has got. Do remember the Firenza, very swish and futuristic for the time. Wonder if the Rangie droptop has the old V8. One of the best cars I’ve ever driven: massive torque and with the alloy body, it went beautifully.

Loving the mirrors on the older cars, colours are great too..

After starting this thread can you believe I am now poised to order a focus active x estate in ……. black, grey or silver ?. Also harking back to yesterday’s post on registrations considering I’m going from an X1 to a focus confirms I am not a snob ?

I did fancy the Q3 black edition in pulse orange but it appears it’s no longer available and the Q3 prices have gone up too much for liking, also the A3 saloon seems to have gone too so the python yellow is out too ?

Ah well, worse things happen at sea, the focus has what I really need tbh, big boot, electric seat and panoramic sunroof, watch em say you can’t order one now due to parts issues ?

Paul – the sales manager at my local Ford dealer tells me he is telling all customers to expect 6 months plus waits on all Fords due to the chip shortage. Whether that applies to all dealers I don’t know, but as we know many dealers of all brands can over promise and under deliver!
