Thomas harveyJust called the dealer and told me I can have a black edition in 150bhp in manual for £1750, which I think is really cheap compared to what I payed before for my black edition, so I’m going to just pay the 1195 for the camera and sound pack, only thing that disappoints me is no Quattro but was told I could change to this if it comes on in January, I’ve got a year left on my car and that’s with the extended 2 years, so worries I won’t get anything half decent especially with brexit, he also to me to act fast as the black editions do not last long,

oliver MartinSo we ended up cancelling our Mercedes GLA order over the weekend which had no sign of a build date and opted to go for the Q3 Sline 35 TFSI S Tronic in Turbo blue (quite the mouthful right!)
We did this through Audi Farnborough who when I called on Saturday had at least 5 in stock of all colours! The chap I dealt with ‘Lewis’ was an absolute star and did more in half a day than Merc had done in the previous 3 months! He took videos of all the vehicles available and sent them through within 10 minutes of taking the call and then even contacted Motability to cancel our Merc order to speed things through. By Sunday we had all the paperwork signed and aim to collect the car next week!
We did however pay for the comfort and sound pack at quite the cost however all in all this still comes in at £500 cheaper than the GLA we had on order, so as far as I’m concerned its a win win and we get a bigger car which looks great!
So in short if you want an Audi Q3 and you live near Farnborough give them a call!

December 8, 2020 at 4:04 pm #131592Audi Q3 35 S-tronic TFSi Mild Hybrid.
The Auto (S-tronic) version of the 1.5 petrol is fitted with a Mild Hybrid system. The battery and convertor are housed in the boot and it means you can’t lower the floor so the boot size drops from 530 to 410 litres.
This is about the Q3 Sportback but applies to the latest Q3 too:

Thanks for that. Unfortunately that would probably rule it out for us as a boot of that size would be far too small.
December 8, 2020 at 5:42 pm #131609Cheers I like the spec on Chr design at £995 heated seats keyless park assist etc

PhilI don’t suppose anyone has asked about the sportback version coming onto the scheme? Probably over the cap, but that would seriously change my mind over the new A3.
December 9, 2020 at 7:13 am #131635What’s the cheapest mild hybrid Audi Automatic on motability ?
December 9, 2020 at 4:46 pm #131696This is the best news ever. I have had my Q3 for 4 years & hadn’t upgraded cos I love it so much! I’m expecting a GLA in March but that’s going out of the window..off to Audi tomorrow!!! Ecstatic that 2021 will be good for one thing at least!

JohnWhat I don’t understand is how an expensive and “futuristic” car not have keyless start, wireless charging and no auto dimming side mirrors.., only Vorsprung model can have any of those which to me is mental!
Not only that they’ve put a really underpowered engine in it with a 1.5 tfsi which is averaging 30mpg in the real world
December 9, 2020 at 6:31 pm #131707How likely is it for the Q3 to be removed in January-March? I’m thinking about waiting to see if the Sportback will be added in in January, but don’t want to risk it all..Any info on whether sportback is being added?

SouthammanThe Škoda, VW and Seat models are on the same platform and normally are better specced.
it’s worth looking at them tooDecember 9, 2020 at 6:54 pm #131712How likely is it for the Q3 to be removed in January-March? I’m thinking about waiting to see if the Sportback will be added in in January, but don’t want to risk it all..Any info on whether sportback is being added?
As the Audi Q3 only came on the scheme 5 days ago, I would be staggered beyond belief if it is removed at the start of Q1. It would be a lot of work for nothing. I should think it unlikely that the AP would change either. I wouldn’t be surprised if more variants of the regular Q3 appear in Q1 but, as for the Sportback, it’s anybodies guess. Dealers may have some idea but most car dealers are clueless about such things.

Good spot Andy. Thanks for posting. Nice to see that a few more variants have been added, although a shame that they are all still fairly low powered engines, especially when you can get much more powerful BMW X1’s (the Q3’s direct competitor) on the scheme. I shall definitely be looking at the Q3 in the New Year (even though I fear the boot will be too small) but am still struggling to get my head around the fact that a premium car doesn’t have heated seats as standard in 2020!
December 11, 2020 at 9:04 am #131833The only car i ever truly loved owning and it returns to the scheme as im about to test drive the soul EV. This is going to be a difficult few days for me now, do i listen to my heart or my head. Even with the Comfort & Sound pack added its about the same price with the good condition bonus taken off, FOR GODS SAKE AUDI…

BrydoGlos Guy I have learned that the one certainty with motability is nothing is certain. I hope the Q3 is on for many years ahead, but I also know it could come off the scheme as quickly as it’s come on.
I would recommend that anyone who can order just now should order as you may be left disappointed if you don’t.
it’s just part of the motability lottery I’m afraid.December 11, 2020 at 10:16 am #131838

it’s just part of the motability lottery I’m afraid.Totally agree brydo, although I’ve only been on the scheme 6 years the times I’ve seen cars that pretty much suited my needs and would like to own for 3 years have been taken off when it’s been time to change.
December 11, 2020 at 10:22 am #131840Its just the way motability is Landyman, nothing can be planned in advance as things change for no obvious reason on a regular basis.
Sometimes great deals come on for a short time, like it did when we got our XC60, so when they do be ready to order.

Lord MucBrydo, absolutely, cars come and go, sometimes only on for a day or 2, I think there is a push and pull from brands to shift models, and to motobility getting cars on, I remember the Q3 black edition 4 years ago, came on for a few days, the salesman was adamant that it wasn’t on the scheme, but when he checked the web site, it updated before his eyes. My old Q3 was a superb car and I wish I had gone for the black edition rather than the msport X1, but wanted a brand change, the current AP is fantastic, If you like it don’t hesitate.
