On the motability website, the q2 black edition 1.6 diesel auto is listed as insurance  group 17 meaning it’s not not suitable for U25s, yet on that thatcham it’s listed as group 16 meaning it should be available for U25s, what’s the issue here? I’ve been looking at getting this car and I’m kind of confused.

i would query it with motability, there was a similar issue with one of the mercedes models a while ago i seem to remember and the query raised got the rating changed so that u25’s could drive it.

give it ago if thats the car that interests you.

I agree with Mitch as this was the same issue with the Mercedes B class and I informed Motability and after 20+ calls and speaking to so many different advisors they finally changed it and it was suitable for under 25’s. But that model has now been removed from the scheme. So call Motability and let them know. Some advisors dont understand but most do.</p>
