Someone at Motability must be having a great laugh with all this! From this day forth, the Motability A4 shall be know as a Paul Daniels. “Now you see it…….” ?? Laughing and crying at this one.

joeI thought when Motability introduced the price cap it stated any car added in Q1 would then be available throughout that year!
February 22, 2020 at 8:27 pm #107391They probably did Joe but then changed their mind.
If I’ve learnt one thing from watching government and big business is that when they say definitely, certainly, absolutely, etc, it means absolutely nothing.
Only under contract do these words count for anything.? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
February 22, 2020 at 9:42 pm #107397Unless it’s part of their manifesto then that means nothing they say will come to fruition.
February 22, 2020 at 9:49 pm #107398Makes me think of TSB who, in the aftermath of their IT meltdown in 2018 increased the interest rate on their current account back up to 5%. It was a “thank you” to their “loyal” customers who had suffered weeks of issues accessing their TSB accounts. The increase was announced much fanfare and a promise that it “wasn’t just for a year”.
14 months later (more than just a year), they dropped the rate back to 3%, and now it will shortly drop to 1.5%.
So yes, if they aren’t contractually bound to do something then it is just a politician’s promise.

I’m glad I’m not the only one noticing this over the years.

February 24, 2020 at 10:51 am #107491I now go by the rule that if something is mentioned in a manifesto then that is the very thing that they plan to “never do”, it’s just lies to win a campaign and once in power they use the line “After costing it out it has become clear the idea is financially unsustainable”

davjgDon’t worry that it’s off the scheme, the engine is poor only 40ish mpg and ave acceleration. I test drove it, ride was very hard as it has sports suspension. Plus Audi are not very interested in Motorbility customers !

BobHi, Have you had a look at the Mercedes cla shooting brake 220d, more space, nice looking car and a lot more powerful engine with a similar advanced payment to the Audi.
