Curious to know how long anyone’s been waiting? And/or if anyone has an idea on the full waiting time from ordering?

Hi,
or just anyone waiting on a Mercedes or Audi period?
read a few threads and the only example I can find is when Mercedes first came back on the scheme.
Would be useful to know of anything more recent before ordering.
January 20, 2025 at 8:58 am #296400I ordered my car start of October mercedes Gla 200 premium they say it will be ready in march they no longer off 200 premium line though
January 20, 2025 at 2:36 pm #296413@jaycali thank you for responding. I ordered back in December however my dealer just doesn’t offer up any useful information so I’ve been very much in the dark. Was looking for another dealer (which is why I asked about Audi) but now it’s off the scheme, I’m assuming means there’s a demand they might be struggling with.
Was assuming that I’d have delivery end of February as that when it says my payments will start in the online agreement.
But from your response, I’m looking at a May delivery date, possibly later.
January 20, 2025 at 11:40 pm #296439Hi Oliviaa, are you saying the Q3 is off the scheme?
I just looked on the Audi site and they’re still advertising it.
I was going to get one but interior wise it’s a 10 year old concept obviously had updates over the years but it’s extremely dated. And it doesn’t have much kit. There’s a new generation Q3 coming out, but have absolutely no idea if it would come on here.
January 21, 2025 at 9:01 am #296448@cw Hi no I meant the GLA Premium is off the scheme. I was considering to look at some Audis but now that the Gla is off the scheme I’ll just stick with my current order.
and I 100% agree that the interior for Audi is very dated.
January 21, 2025 at 4:37 pm #296462Again, is the gla across the board off now? Or just the premium trim?
I took the CLA shooting brake out and a GLA last year, probably around October time, i just didn’t feel they were spacious enough for me, I’ve had a tiguan for the past 4 years, although the Mercedes are very plush inside.
I sat in the X1 last week, again gorgeous inside, but for the trim I’d opt for it’s £8000 and I just can’t justify that.
Good luck with your search. Chris
January 21, 2025 at 5:14 pm #296463Just the premium, the executive isn’t too different however the 20” wheels on the premium stood out to me. Definitely would’ve chosen the premium plus if it was still available.
The Tiguan has a lovely exterior but it’s just a bit too big for me as this will be my first car and BMW has never really been my style and the models I like, e.g X4 isn’t available on the scheme and probably won’t be.
I do hope the advance payments improve but that’s wishful thinking.
Many thanks for your advice Chris!
January 21, 2025 at 6:53 pm #296465The Alfa Tonale might have been worth looking at, it looked beautiful from outside with the 20’s option added, however it wasn’t very room inside, so I choose against it. I do believe it’s been removed this Q though. If it hasn’t or it comes back on, I’d recommend testing it. Lovely car.
January 22, 2025 at 10:14 pm #296518I feel like the only communication I’ve had is from me contacting them I feel like if I wasn’t a mobility customer would be more informed rang today and was told production date next week so depending on the ports it could potentially arrive by 2nd week in February
January 23, 2025 at 7:51 am #296520Have you thought about testing the Cupra Terramar? All about opinions, bit I think it looks much nicer than the new Tiguan it’s based on and will probably be better equipped for less AP than an equivalent R-Line.
January 23, 2025 at 8:54 am #296522Hi Phil, I took the Formentor out last week, totally agree it looks much nicer, but once I sat in it, it’s very small. (I’m 6ft2) but it’s a gorgeous looking car.
Plus it’s full of kit, recommend people to check it out.
January 23, 2025 at 9:45 am #296523Hi,
Last year September I had to wait until the beginning of October for my GLA 200 premium to be put on as a back order. On the 11th November car was officially ordered and arrived at the end of November and collected on the first week of December. I hope this helps.
Glad I got it, as other posters have said it is no longer available.
January 23, 2025 at 11:42 am #296529Yeah, I gave my dealership a call and was advised by someone (who wasn’t the dealer I ordered with as he was busy) that I’d receive 2 emails directly from Mercedes, the first one when it’s being built and the second once it’s off the production line, I’m not sure how true this is?
Kinda annoying that this wasn’t explained to me to the first time round but it is what it is.
My dealer initially had no plans in showing me the premium trim, he took me straight to executive and acted as though that was the only model available, only made it clear that because I was on mobility I couldn’t get a sunroof and I also couldn’t choose the colour white, it just felt like he was more interested in telling me what was not available rather than actually helping me choose someone suitable, he went through no other options with me.
It wasn’t until he could see that I wasn’t very sure about the executive trim (especially as I favourited the premium on my mobility account and because of my disorder I didn’t think to say anything) he casually threw in that the premium trim was available however they didn’t have one for me to sit in, I could only look at one as it was a customer order waiting to be picked up.
I just hope I’m not waiting 3/4 months just to get a build slot.
I’m glad to hear you got yours before it was removed!!

The new Terramar is bigger than the Formentor. It’s their version of the new Tiguan with more aggressive styling.
Cupra are doing some really nice, well spec’d out cars at the moment. AP’s are a little high, but they’re usually better spec’d than their VAG siblings….better looking too (in my opinion).
January 23, 2025 at 3:53 pm #296535Is the Terramar on the scheme
January 23, 2025 at 8:36 pm #296539Hi Olivia,

My car is ready for handover at the end of this week coming due to the 5 days notice they need to give.
