Have I read it write £5200 or have I read it wrong, that is one big AP
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

OlpkIts £1449 for the AP and the rest is the options.
If you think that’s big I’ve just recorded the car and added another 1k.
I’m reordering because they ordered the wrong colour leather.

NoelYou could buy a very decent car for £6000, no way would I spend that on a car I dont own!

PhiljbWe got a cancelled order TIguan with paid for extras and we only paid the AP.
We didn’t even know that was possible on the scheme. But I’ve heard of plenty of others do the same by taking a cancellation.October 16, 2019 at 10:21 pm #92027
wonkyHi Olpk, Bit confused. Are you suggesting the dealership will let this car go for the standard £1449 AP? Then perhaps minus the £500 jct 600 are offering.
If that’s right , who pays for all the extras you ordered?Regards, wonky

OlpkNo I was pretty clear stating the cost is just under £5200 then you may get the £500 off that.
I cant imagine anyone getting an allspace with extras without paying for them as the wait is too long.
If they where going to give the car away with free extras they would have offered it to me at a big discount on the leather as they ordered it wrong but they didnt.
Just wanted to give you guys a chance before a normal customer jumps in and gets it as only cancelled it today.
Noel I dont think a 6k car is a comparison to a 42k car. I will have had my current car 5 years when I give it back and even with the deposit and monthly cost I have still paid less than the depreciation if I bought it new myself. Even if I factor in a 5k discount on the initial purchase price for cash etc.
My current car will have a 100k miles when it goes back so worth very little.

Paul<p style=”text-align: left;”>Can someone order an xc40 with all the extras then cancel the order, then let me know lol

October 17, 2019 at 12:05 am #92039
PhiljbThe car supplied to us had the extras paid for in full. By the person who cancelled?
October 17, 2019 at 12:36 am #92042
Olpk<p style=”text-align: center;”>Philjb yes so someone did actually pay for them. In my case I’m not paying for them as JCT600 are just reordering for me as they messed up the order.

Noel I did a bit of maths. After dealer discount and good condition bonus I will pay 4.6k deposit including the AP. Factor in monthly payments over 3 years then deduct the savings on insurance, servicing ,wear and tear and I will pay an estimate of 11k over 3 years. The car retails at 42k in the spec i order and will be high mileage at 60k miles when i hand it back so at best it will be worth 15k when I’m finished. That’s if diesels are even worth much by then.
That’s 27k depreciation and I’m only paying 11k.

PhiljbOlpk
Our invoice price was just over £40k
But motability don’t pay the VAT for starters or obviously the extras and then also negotiate a big discount off the list price. So I’d be surprised if motability still didn’t make money once returned.
Even 60k miles on a 3 year old high spec car adds a premium. But it’s still the car you want and will get stress free motoring for min 3 years.
