They will charge you 5p a mile according to the handbook, wouldn’t know how strict they are as I have never come close to 60k

September 19, 2024 at 2:40 pm #288933How does this work if you have done 60k at end of 3 years. But are waiting for your car
Another 20k allowance for the year?
Or charged pro-rata when you collect your car?
September 19, 2024 at 5:25 pm #288954Given the allowance is 60000 over a 3 year lease and 100000 over a 5 year lease, then yes, that reads you would get an extra 1666 miles per month allowance whilst waiting for a new car.

September 20, 2024 at 11:59 am #288993I’ve gone over by 12000 miles before, and waited 3 months extra for a new car, wasn’t asked to pay anything for the extra 12k miles.
Two leases later my mileage has steadily dropped year on year, current car, 37 months so far (Ioniq 5 on order) is only on 43k miles. Next car will struggle to top 30k I think.
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.

September 28, 2024 at 7:55 am #289451I’m on 70k with 2 months left, scenic won’t be ready in time and was advised that it isn’t pro rata, it essentially classes as extended lease, this ties in with last car that was over mileage.
Friends were over 60k and didn’t get charged and they handed over dead on 3 years, and our first car was returned early and pro rata would have meant we got charged.
in conclusion, I’ve decided it’s completely random and I’ll expect to be charged and hope I won’t 🙂
