I am lucky to have ordered my new Abarth 595 MTA before Christmas  the AP was a good deal at £495 the new Q1 is now £695 which to be honest is good and i am having a 40kg hoist fitted and hand controls as you may know Abarth automatics was off the scheme a few years only the manual was available.

  Many thanks i am supposing to get it around April time they tell me that these come through quicker than the 500x automatic which they said was up to 6 months although hoping the Semiconductor crises gets better they may be sooner, I have had the MTA Abarth in 145 bhp form before and it was so good.

Great choice. Did you test drive this, if so how did you find the gearbox/changes general feel of it, thanks.

Hi Gold the lead time around 3 months and i have had one before in the MTA semi auto which Abarth gets some stick about but i got used to it and loved it. not a boy racer though anymore but 0.60 in 7.3 sec is not bad, to be honest it is a raw old school hot hatch which i like nothing too complicated brings a smile every time you drive one and as it is a jump up from the 145bp auto i had last it is brilliant and a bit of excitement in these boring times is a plus.

I was tempted before Xmas with that Scorpionerio that was on the scheme for a short time, Its something that did look great but was too flash looking for me. I like sporty cars but normally more stealth looking ones, bit boring k guess.

Yes but it was a manual only only the turismo is an MTA and as to looking flash i think it is very low key and that is why i like it.

Shame you cannot get the Competizione on the scheme, has less bhp that my curent honda civic sport which has 182bhp and the Competizione is 180bhp. I ‘d be tempted to get one when i’m due to change.

The Competizione used to be on the scheme quite a few years ago but in the 165bhp the power to weight and handling are better than the honda.

Been told from dec order that the Abarth is to be built in week 5 so beginning of Feb for March delivery which is not too bad but fiat 500x the wait is a longer time.
