24hrs since I collected the Enyaq ! So far my initial findings are,
1. Lane keeping Assist – Pain in the bum, can’t be turned fully off without using ODB11, however on software v4 (new Models) there’s a shortcut on the main menu screen for it so 2 taps to deactivate it (until the next journey)
2. Advanced pack/Canton sound system. I paid the extra £2035 for the Advanced pack, the HUD, matrix headlights are both very good. Canton system not so much, poor bass and the subwoofer is barely noticeable. With a previous Honda CRV turned up it would give a feelable punch to the bass and even make the rearview mirror vibrate!. On the Enyaq all it does is add a bit more bottom end, even with the bass and subwoofer turned rght up. Certainly wouldn’t have paid over £2K for it if I’d had the chance to hear it before buying.
3. Exiting the car/Sound system. With my previous Ateca opening the door to exit would switch off the stereo saving your neighbours ears late at night!, if I remember correctly there was an option to have it turn off as soon as you switched off the engine as well. Enyaq doesn’t, it waits until you have left the car before switching off meaning the music is playing with the door open. Nothing major just means I’ll have to turn it down before getting out late at night!
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Have been wondering weather i made the right decision in not getting the advanced pack so thanks for putting this up. Only really cared about the Canton system and if its not great its deffo not worth the upgrade.
January 13, 2024 at 3:44 pm #254971Thanks, Phaedra. Very interesting regarding the Canton system. I was considering the Advanced pack as the HUD would be good also, but I’m glad I decided against it.
Did you hear the standard audio system also? On our test drive, I thought the standard system sounded ok.
Thankfully the matrix headlights are standard on the car, and can’t wait to try those – just have to wait until May!!!
January 13, 2024 at 3:59 pm #254976Had an Ateca Xcellence Lux so basically the same system as the standard Enyaq, as you say it’s perfectly adeqate (except I do like a bit of extra bass now and then!).

1, Software does not allow the permeant switch off of the LKA on software version 4 vehicles in afraid.
2, Matrix lights are not park os the Advance pack, they are actually standard on sportline plus trim,
3, this is an entirely different vehicle and brand so im not sure why you would think it would function the same way.
enjoy your vehicle
January 13, 2024 at 4:07 pm #254981Fully aware it’s a different vehicle but a lot of the functions and stalk controls have been carried over from the previous VAG group Karoq/Ateca series, for example the ACC control stalk position, design and function is exactly the same. Things do change but sometimes not always for the better.
Yes, I know the matrix lights are standard on Edition models and upwards, all I was saying is they work very nicely.

Where does the subwoofer fit in the back? Photo?

AnonymousAre you having buyers remorse 24 hours in over the Advance pack
Would you not recommend adding this feature?
January 13, 2024 at 6:14 pm #255006@solymar It’s the estate, given the £400 difference in the AP and the fact it has a rear wiper it seems the better choice 🙂
@Tgreen No, not at all. Would I recommend the Advanced pack? depends on what you want out of it. I wanted the heated windscreen and upgraded stereo and the HUD is very nice to use. Would I purchase the pack for the next car? probably not.

January 13, 2024 at 6:37 pm #255010The Enyak does not come with a electric heated windscreen ? you have to buy a “pack” to get it ?
January 13, 2024 at 8:09 pm #255029Yes, it’s part of the advaced pack.
However, had my brain been working when I added the pack I would have realised that you can just pre-heat the car before you leave using the Skoda App and that shifts the ice on the windows as well, did it tonight as my daughter is here and wanted a Chinese. Set Air-Con to 20c for about 15mins, got in, no ice and nice and warm so off we went.
Been busy going over sound settings with a very helpful chap on the Facebook forum, so far it looks like the Subwoofer either isn’t fitted (polystyrene cover box is there in the boot well), it isn’t connected or it’s duff. Both got the same test music so just waiting for him to run another test to confirm it.

January 13, 2024 at 8:18 pm #255033@Phaedra i was going to ask you next if preconditioning the car using the app would be a way around getting ice/frost off the windscreen. It does great.
January 13, 2024 at 8:26 pm #255035Enjoy the car mate 🙂
The pack has some useful featurers you wanted. Any niggles I’m sure will get sorted by yourself or the dealer.
January 13, 2024 at 8:38 pm #255038@Solymar Apologies I forgot to post the photo!.
Subwoofer lives under the boot floor in a well, it’s the big lump on the right side …

January 13, 2024 at 10:08 pm #255053Thanks!
That looks a neat subwoofer setup! I’d guess there would be some serious vibration & booming coming from there if it was working! The Canton sales video shows two glasses of drinks being mixed with the vibration from the bass so it must be quite substantial!

The only thing will this is the Skoda app is consistently down around 50% of the time if fails according to the forums, so pre heating although nice might not be available a lot for the time, which is not good
January 14, 2024 at 9:27 am #255086From what I understand about the CANTON sound system, the software & amp are made by HARMEN & the speakers made by CANTON. As both companies are now owned by SAMSUNG I would have thought that the system in the Enyaq & other Skoda cars would be very high quality audio. HARMEN with KARDEN have been making quality audio systems for cars for years!
I’m pleased that I have ordered my car with the Advanced Pack.

January 14, 2024 at 10:00 am #255092Going to the garage this morning to see if they have another Canton system to compare. Had the boot floor up and there’s very little coming out of the sub even with it set at max.
According to the chaps on the Facebook forum anywhere above +3 the boot and rearview mirror starts to vibrate!, mine certainly doesn’t, even on +9.

Harmon international own almost all OEM in car audio brands and indeed is owned by Samsung (2017. Canton automotive, which is seen almost soley in Skoda vehicles.
In 2017 Harmon,Canton and Skoda teamed up, to offer tailor made premium sound to Skoda buyers. The then Kodiaq had a 10-channel, 570 Watt DSP stereo amplifier and 10 high-performance speakers and a 2×100 sub. Other than speaker type/size, no other details are available.
Unlike Bose Automotive, Bang & Olfsen Automotive and JBL Automotive to name but a few owned by Harmon internatiol. You can go om the respective brands website and find the exact premium audio system fitted to your car. Canton Automotive on the other hand, cannot be found or does not exist, only the home HiFi side of Canton exists and is indeed searchable. Also, there is very little information on Canton Autmotive other than in the realms of (VW) Skoda and Harmon, which indicates Cantons premium Automotive audio, has since been swallowed up by Harmon or Skoda.
Edit: Here is the link, that is now extinct https://www.canton.de/en/skoda-en

Great customer service!
Perhaps nip in tomorrow or one day in the week and ask the service manager if somone can come and have look, before you waste yours and there time booking it in.
Any other Skoda dealers near you?
January 14, 2024 at 1:43 pm #255118About 16-17 miles away, same group different branch.
I’ve asked on the FB group if there’s anyone near Durham with the Canton system I can go listen to, just to make 100% certain I’m not going mad or my ears have stopped working properly!.
I even gave my home HiFi a good blast this morning to make sure (waited until the cat had gone out!), the bass from that rattles my doors and windows even without a subwoofer (Kef 104AB’s) 🙂

Do you have a wooden brush handle?
If so put one end where the sub is located and the other tightly to your hear, block your other hear with cotton wool or your finger and focus on what comes from the sub.
