There’s always a drive to go wireless (phones, home networks, headphones and more) and I think this is one of those things that doesn’t really need to be. If you’re going to be using the phone pretty much constantly for nav/audio or whatever, having the phone physically connected means it won’t run out of battery PLUS the whole point of having them paired up properly is that you don’t need to use the phone/screen so is it really such a big deal to have it out of the way where it can be permanently connected?
