Maybe I should explain that it is my wife’s Motability car, but she has now stopped driving. Hence for the first time in 16 years I can choose the family car. So I have saved up, and I’m like a kid in a sweet shop tbh.

Here are my wants:- Automatic (after 62 years I have had enough gear changing in queues)-Folding mirrors- Sensors front and rear – Adaptive Cruise Control- Reversing Camera- Satnav – Digital display with speed prominent. Preferences:- LED lights all round- Park Assist- Cream upholstery .MUST LOOK GOOD.

Agree about the C5 Aircross, it’s got the lot, but not 100% sold on its looks.

I have not ruled out the larger saloons either, and I loved the Mazda 6, but only entry level trim on an auto. Hence I want to see the Toyota Camry on the scheme but it may well be too late for us.

Mercedes A and C class excellent but previous comments re forbidden packs apply. The A Class interior is to die for and I have learnt that you CAN add the £495 Navigation pack, and they will after fit front and rear sensors for around £800. These are not just audio sensors but screen type too.

    HTHS.
