Yes, there’s lots of reasons why that’s been there for several years. My last 2 WAVs have had them, mostly as anti-theft devices.
However that covers any telematics device, including ones that have not yet been invented.
My point is – don’t be like my client – They asked for a termination because they objected to a Telematics device (in this case Smart Drive) before they contacted us and Motability said no as it’s in the terms and conditions.
They had other reasons that Motability will normally consider favourably for an Early Termination but chose to make their argument they disagreed with Drive Smart. Now we are having to try to get Motabilty to consider those reasons.
