Add ice compress to the area, but wrap ice or peas in a tea towel. Elevate your foot and try to keep weight off your foot. Initially rest is best until you can see a Dr.
As there are no signs of brusing, It could well be a sprain cause by exercise or tight fitting foot wsre.
Do you suffer from Gout?
