No driving aids required, I’ve checked the figures with add on’s leave me with £6,499 to pay as per MB AP require. It seems Dealer Accessories are included in MB’s figures as everything adds up!

I notice on your invoice that your dealership is charging £229.17 for the dashcam.

Which interestingly, when VAT at 20% is added, equals £275.004 (i.e. £275 when rounded down by a fraction of a penny).

Certain Motability dealers are offering to fit a dashcam for this amount. As an example:

    https://www.johnsonscars.co.uk/motability/offers/skoda/

    The t&c’s of which state:

    https://www.johnsonscars.co.uk/motability/offers/new-skoda-enyaq/

Although there is no explanation for the dashcam offer, I do believe most people would take the inference that the cost of the dashcam as being the responsibility of the customer.

Sometimes, Motability dealers do dress things up as ‘offers’ and ‘special offers’ when they are nothing of the sort. I am not saying it is so in this case, but ‘Caveat Emptor‘ certainly applies if you do not want a potentially  awkward conversation when you collect the vehicle.

As @glos-guy has stated, the invoice you have does not bear any relevance to the actual amount Motability will be billed and may also be the same with yourself. In short, it appears to be a bit of ‘creative accountancy’ to make the figures fit!

The dealership should be able to give you a ‘real world’ invoice breaking down exactly what you are paying and for what.

Funny enough, the ‘fuel’ charged at £20.83 is actually £24.996 when 20% VAT is added. Is that how they are accounting for the £0.004 difference on the dashcam?).
