    @kezo, It was a catagorical no to any form of cable cover placed on top of the footpath, but as I said I think they may have since changed their mind.

    I’ll get back in touch with the chap who sorted the Kerbocharge gully for me, I don’t think it’s going to last much longer!.  Mainly, I suspect, to the way Durham installed it, from what I’ve seen when fitting into a tarmac path it should be be set in tarmac as well.  Durham have used concrete which already had to be repaired last year due to it coming away from the gully.  I think that at the time they also damaged part of the bottom of the gully so the part nearest the edge of the pavement is not 100% secure again.

    If I could swap to a simple over the path cover I could leave it attached to the cable and place it anywhere on the path I needed to suit the position of the car’s charging port, and of course not have to bend down to feed in the cable!.
