As europe now knows people have turned their backs on EVS which are ok for short around town journeys and with the weight of the cars now being charged road charging as they damage the roads more. They are not fit for purpose for disabled people with heavy charging cables and a lot of chargers with no overhead covers from the weather and access problems for wheelchair users quite frankly ridiculous

Most electric cars weigh no more than the equivalent internal combustion model. Yes there are some exceptions like the EV9, EX90 and Ioniq 9, but then again, they equate for a tiny fraction of electric vehicles. Plus none of those vehicles can be leased on Motability.

You could say exactly the same about refuelling a petrol or diesel car if you’re a wheelchair user. You know, those giant curbs, high to reach interfaces and heavy nozzles? Doesn’t sound like accessibility to me…

Nobody is forcing you to have an EV, it’s heavily incentivised because the list of positives significantly exceeds the negatives.
Except if you’re a reader of The Scum, The Daily Fail, or GBeebies whose majority shareholders are heavily invested in big oil companies. Then you end up being incredibly narrow minded about the idea.
