hi – would it be worthwhile terminating my lease early and foregoing the GCB so i dont get hit with the Vat charge on the upfront payment & most importantly will motobility let me do it
Possibly. It’s certainly worth asking the question.
I think there’ll be a few on here thinking the same thing. As someone else said, Motability may stop this from happening if too many try and do the same thing.
In addition to the loss of the GCB, there will be an early termination fee of £250. You usually need a medical reason, like a change in your disability, or for the car to be an absolute lemon with on-going mechanical or electrical problems.
Having said that, it’s worth having a conversation with someone at Motability to sound them out.
