Or a child on one of those scooters. I saw one nearly get hit in the local town after he rode out in front of a car. Fortunatly the driver managed to stop in time, but would she have then received a red mark for harsh braking if it had been a motability car.

Not even sure they’ll let people argue their care.

Dash cam footage might help, but you’re not allowed to fit them

So basically they are giving drivers the choice between killing a child or losing their car?

Maybe that’s being over dramatic, but that is what it feels like.

I have a dash cam plugged into the USB power socket.
They just don’t let you connect them to the car’s fuse box, or hide the wiring behind trim, as it might interfere with airbag deployment.

They don’t stop you from having one in the car, as long as it can be powered from a USB or 12v power plug.

I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.

Someone was asking the other day about a poll of members on here who would consider leaving the scheme due to the changes. Just saw this on bakebook motability ni page.

I put unsure in the survey, but I think I’m probably going to leave next year when my lease runs out, unless something massivly changes. I just did some checks and I could get a decent Mondeo or Volvo V50 for about £2-3k and insurance for about £480, even though I made a claim a couple of years ago when the front collision sensor stopped working on the previous car and there was a crack in the front grill, if I had known I wouldn’t have bothered.

I quite like having an electric car, despite my initial reservations and issues with the app for charging and have gotten used to not having to go to garages. But at the moment the Kia is the only one with a decent range at an AP I could afford and I don’t expect that to last.

So if there’s no decent electric cars with an ap I can afford, I may leave anyway whatever happens.

                @joe

You have time to garner riches for the next lease.

But we are all playing the guessing game with limited info.

The next tease will be July and see where the AP,s sit with VAT included.

We do not know where it will go, but best guess is upwards.

Am actively looking at ending the lease an moving on  for 2 years and see where the scheme lies at that time. Like everyone else looking at options.

The UK site I put unsure, however, I am very unsure at this moment in time I have options, go for the Toyota C-HR EV and hope they do not force the Drive Smart across the scheme, accept my 12 mont lease extension, leave and go for Tesla 3, or extend for 12 months then go for the Tesla.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
