I must admit I was shocked when I had two tyres with a nail in them on the same wheel over a one year period only to have both renewed. With the first one that had less than 5,000 miles on it Kwik-Fit said it had to go back to MB. I can’t imagine they do that but perhaps they send them somewhere to be repaired because they don’t want to get their hands too dirty in the local shop. I’ve heard they can be repair but charge extra.
The other three wheels on the car with 3 months left of the current lease still have at least 5mm on them all across the width of the tyre.
Retail price for these tyres is around £320 each so two nail have cost getting on for £700.
