Motability buy 300 000 vehicles a year, if 50% British built is achieved, 150 000 vehicles will be split between the Nissan Juke, Nissan Qashqai, the new Nissan Leaf (good car), the Mini (small one) and the Toyota Corolla. The JLR cars will not be joining the Scheme. The Nissan Qashqai is the 3rd best selling car in the UK, 35k sold to date this year. From a business perspective it seems a little odd to show your hand in such an overt way, surely when it comes to pricing negotiations with these models the power is with the seller.
That’s a very good point! Also, all of those cars are far too small for our needs!
