I’d also put money on if you charged your car to full overnight and plug it back in tomorrow on a dumb charge, it would take a very small percentage of charge due to minus temperatures, which is typical of lithium ion, as it slows the chemical reaction and of much the same reason, a BEV looses range when its cold.

    Edit: And when you apply a charge current it excites the energy in the battery again, much in the same way, we need a warm drink, a bowl of oats etc when we wake up to restore the energy flow.
