Volvo being smaller wow, who would’ve thought it @kezo, maybe it’s the m type seat feeling cramped as it’s very snug fitting, or the dark interior and thicker feeling steering wheel making it feel tighter than the Volvo, also the middle arm rest thing, not sure if it’s static, as I couldn’t lift it up out of my way.. Isn’t amazing how we all differ in tastes and decisions.. I guess 5 years driving one car, anything else will feel strange, even the extra space of the Skoda..

As @kezo says, the X1 is definitely a more spacious car than the XC40, especially the boot. The X2 will feel smaller than the XC40 though. BMW M Sport models have a black headlining, which is what makes the car interior feel smaller than it is. Unfortunately there’s no option to delete it for a lighter one. I was wary of the BMW sport seats, being of ‘generous build’, but I’m glad I went for them as the standard seats lack under thigh support. The thicker steering wheels are lovely to drive with, and a BMW is a much more engaging drivers car than the Volvo. Both @kezo and myself are of the same view that the current X1 / X2 aren’t as good as the previous generation models, but even though interior quality has dropped a bit, it will still be the closest in quality to your Volvo.
