The MP was just making stuff up. He managed to have the majority as both deserving enhanced PIP but not deserving a car. I was desperately trying not to shout at the radio when he was talking about original scheme users had physical disabilities but now you can get them for anxiety. Yes, that’s because in 2014 the Conservative government equalised mental health to physical health in terms of defining disabilities. They’ve since admitted that there were unforeseen consequences to that decision that has resulted in the increases in PIP claimants.
