i had to have glasses from the age of 5 the laft in particular was bad. then in 2002 all of a sudden i developed catarachts and was vertually blind in a month. at the time there was a year waiting list so i paid £2500 to get one eye done and then waited the yyear for the other one. both done by the same surgeon in the same hospital in the same dept. anyway now i only need readers and i get a pair of prescription distance sun glasses for the car etc. i can drive without the distance prescription as its not that strong.
it was weird as hell after wearing glasses all the time for nigh on 40 years to not needing them.
