The Explorer gets uniquely-tuned suspension and steering systems – with MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear that was developed by VW, but in the Explorer, it features different spring and damper rates, unique bushings than VW offerings. Its wheelbase is identical to the id4 and the infotainment system is Ford. Oh before I forget, it also shares alot of the VW switchgear, including the rather daft front/rear window switch design 😂
Kind of like the Zeekr X, EX 30 and Smart #1 are the same cars but, different and sit on Zeekr’s SEA2 platform!
