My only concern over this model is the 3 speed automatic gearbox? Anyone got experience of this?
The Hybrid+ works in a similar way the Nissans E-Power system, where the engine in the majority of cases acts solely as a generator topping the hybrid battery up. The 3 speed transmission therefore runs through the the electric motors the, which is fine and mostly smooth. It’s only when you demand extra grunt the engine is used to help drive the wheels, you’ll find it holds onto the gears slightly longer than say a car with more gears.
In most cases its an EV like drive, with decent economy but, as always I strongly recommend you have a decent test dive.
