I have decided to just order one locally. Looks like it will be factory and they said end of May. I haven’t test drove one but been in the car and checked it out. I was under the impression that almost all dealers wont let me test drive because I haven’t had my licence for over a year. I will try and get a quick test drive but I also only have my paper test pass certificate too. I’m going on Monday to order the car to get everything locked in before 1st April. Sounds like I wont suffer any penalty if I cancel from what people have said on this forum.
Good call. Yes, you can cancel at any time prior to inputting the PIN on collection day with no penalty. Don’t agree to pay any deposit or the advance payment (AP) until the day you collect, as that makes it easier. Also say to them that if the AP drops you’d expect them to change it. If the AP drops on 1st April, ask the dealer to amend it on the Motability order system. If they play silly buggers and refuse, cancel and order from another dealership. Good luck.
