Totally agree, however, after 6 years a 2 year old Polestar will be 8 years old, you have to add insurance, breakdown and maintenance into the equation, however it nice to have the choice. We used to buy 12 month old vehicle before using the mobility scheme, the way things are going with the press it may be the better option.
Our lease ends in August 2026, if Motability plays hard ball and refuses to extend our lease, we foolishly pay over the top lease £6,999 less the £750 and £250 good condition bonus under the impression we could extend our lease a further 24 months.
Our option buy a 2/3 year old Hyundai/Kia Kona or even a Nissan leaf EV currently around £10,000/13,000, not have to pay £3,000 up front AP, so around £7,000/10,000 plus servicing and insurance.
