It’s a growing issue. The cold weather is shining a spotlight on a woefully inadequate 12v battery in the car. Skoda is aware of the issue and say they’ve made service partners aware. Your car won’t have charged most likely because the 12v battery wasn’t strong enough to trigger it. You may also now start to see other stuff happening like keyless entry stopping and interior lights not illuminating when opening the car. The app also will start to give error messages aboutv12v battery exceeded. It’ll stop you from using features like pre warning to protect the battery.
I hate to think how people in Norway and Sweden and coping with their cars in the winter given this oversight from Skoda!!
