IMO the cutout should have been 3x the width of the channel either side and a better cement mix used or something like post crete, as the cement looks weak. A better option would have been to use tarmac.
On the positive side, it allowed the installation of a charger, so has served its purpose and the council is responsible for maintaining it, untill such time they become fed up and issue something in its place.
So it not all negatives 🙂
