Yes a battery pack is made from cells and modules but it’s also terminology used to describe anything generally that plugs in in a car. Could be an actual battery module could be an electronic module in relation to the battery until more info comes out no one will know. If it were a problem affecting one module I’d have expected it to affect more than one in each car seeing as the pack is made up of many of them logic suggests if it’s affecting numerous cars it’d be numerous or all the battery modules in the pack.
