I had a quick look at an Explorer last week while I was waiting for a firend picking his Kuga up from a service.
I was hoping (having driven the old US version) when it was announced that it was going to be decent sized SUV but having seen the specs online I wasn’t expecting much. To be honest even with lowered expectations I was still unimpressed by it.
While I could manage to get in (always a bonus for me at 6’5″) once in there was nothing that stood out or appealed to me, certainly not at around twice the AP of an 85x Enyaq, the AP’s of £4495 and £5495 seem expensive for what you get. I’m afraid they won’t be on my list when the Enyaq goes.
Hopefully in 2 years time when I’m looking to order again there’ll be something still on the scheme I can get into with a decent range at a sensible AP, not holding my breath though!.
