It’s unfortunately not a new thing getting the odd lemon. I had a 99 Focus that was dodgy from the get go and needed a new engine at 70k along with hundreds of faults along the way.
Had a new passat that arrived with wiring faults that caused the old disco on the rear lights.
My dad had the 94 Vauxhall Corsa with the dreaded 1.4 16v engine that liked to eat cambelts think he had 3 new engines in that Corsa before he traded it in for a Micra instead luckily it was under warranty otherwise people were being charged thousands for faulty engines, Watchdog even got involved
I hope the dealer and or motability can get things rights for you..
Traction mode seems like eco but awd the throttle response is toned down as is overall power I would guess but boy does it work I’ve deliberately tried to push it on roundabouts and coukd get the car to step out at all.
