We have the Enyaq and just “dumb” charge, by plugging in when Peak Save events happen. We have British Gas and make the most of the Peak Save Sunday and Green Flex events where electricity is half price. The current EV tariff for us is 7.9p (12-5am) but the normal daytime rate is 26.9p standing charge is 49.88p. Our current tariff is 23.03p and standing charge is 46.94p. The higher daytime rate means it’s not worth switching if we can charge for 11p during Peak Save events. We’d save 3.13p by charging at night (based on 11p Peak Save rate) but pay 3.86p more for all our daytime use plus the increased standing charge, it’s just not worth it.

I’m currenty on the standard variable tariff (never switched) the rates are now >

    Unit rate 24.74p per kWh
    Standing charge 74.74p per day

    ——————————————————————

The Electric Driver  V11 Tariff for the Regular Payment Scheme is >

    Off-peak unit rate (12am-5am) 8.89p per kWh
Peak unit rate 25.28p per kWh
    Standing charge 72.66p per day

I wont be using the charger very much i generally do 100 miles in a week so the charger might be used twice a month (to 80%)

Which tariff would be best for me ?
