Ordered VW ID.3 pro with Dynamic Chassis Control as extra. Also specified model with smaller wheels to get higher profile tyres for softer ride. Comfortable ride which does not harm backbone(s) is top priority. Also wanted an EV because covering only some 2,000 miles p.a. the economics of EV suit us.
Tried a few others but the ID.3 was extremely comfy; nearly as good as Golf. Fairly quick too and rear-wheel drive. Could be quite enjoyable to drive. Build date is last week in Sept. Fingers crossed for delivery for mid November.
Also, nearly forgot, amazingly favourable AP, undercutting everything else by miles. Understand VW have not hit quota for EVs and are trying to shift ’em. Base price, without extras, was £499.
