Went to the seaside again yesterday and the plan was to just enjoy the day, come home later and have a few beer while looking online at my options as in cancel and get something else as I’ve just given up on the V2L as I can’t be annoyed about going to war with Peugeot over it as I’m like a dog with a bone regarding these things. Enjoyed the day and the car was fine apart from a sore butt as the seat is very hard, experience tells me after a few months it will soften. And the range was bad again. 326 on the GOM when I left, traveled 96 miles and when home there was 184 left on GOM, so used 50miles extra. No climate as weather was mild, no rain, just me and two light kids. I’d sort of made my peace while driving home and decided to keep it, at least until winter to see how that affected the range, then worry about it then. So alls good.and I get home after a long day and have a few, then a few more beers
and watched a few documentaries and listen to some music. I get up to go to bed about 2am and look out the window and noticed the car boot was open
I went outside and the radio was on and the screens were on but blank. Keys by the way are in the cutlery drawer about 20m away from car and had been there from I got home. I videoed it all locked it up and went to bed in a mood. Phoned dealer and it’s going in on Friday as I’m away to Southampton and they can sort it. But that’s that, it’s going as that was the last straw. The glitches and gremlins can be fixed, the screens going blank is an inconvenience as is the sat nav not working. But a car unlocking, opening it’s boot and turning on is unacceptable. I’m so peed that I might demand that it goes asap and a hire car replaces it until the new one arrives. Don’t know what’s next. Not fussed on the 5 but also not bothered about looks, and the BMW will be too expensive I believe. I could put up with a few gremlins from the Enyaq as the size would sway me. I don’t care about the silly drivers cluster at this stage tbh. I’m going over now to measure the scenic boot to see if that suits. The ev6 is perfect but at 6-7k it’s insane. New quarter soon and I’ve no idea what that will bring. Ev6 surely won’t drop by 5k, don’t know of any big ev’s that might be added. Are any big cars as I’m now looking at ice as well. But as folk have said all values lie in EV on the scheme on the minute.
Have you called Motability yet? I had an issue with an Ioniq 5 I had. I called Motability as I wasn’t happy with the service I was getting and they offered me a cancellation with no penalty there and then without me even asking for it!!
I was amazed but very relieved at the same time. Ironically I ended up getting the same model as I love it albeit from a different dealership!
