i can relate to this issue as in 2021 several members after handing back my Vw GTD(Motability) and happily getting around in my vehicle when I received a notice for being in a bus lane in Birmingham (I stay in Glasgow)and never been to Birmingham however I explained this to Birmingham city council but it took sometime to resolve even after contacting Motability and sending relevant paperwork and I also received a final notice and a letter from their solicitor to pursue but i spoke to dvla and they said there was delays due to the pandemic 🙄but after quite a bit of stress it was resolved but a total nightmares 😡
