Interesting @kezo I’ve yet to inspect the new Tiguan personally, but having watched a few reviews the interior quality has certainly been highlighted as not being up to the VW standard of the past. We’ve had 4 previous Tiguans and the build quality and standard of fit and finish admittedly wasn’t to BMW standards, but was better than the other non-premium brands. Where they fell woefully short of the premium brands was engine refinement and economy, as well as the fact that none of the driver aids worked as well as on the BMW that I ran (privately) at the same time. However, that’s comparing VW to BMW. How they compare against Hyundai I have no idea.
